California law now allows qualifying individuals to seal past convictions through a petition-based process under state law. If granted, the court will treat your arrest or conviction as if it never happened, giving you a clean slate for employment, housing, and peace of mind.
To qualify for record sealing in California, you must have completed your sentence and remained conviction-free for a certain period—typically 1 year for misdemeanors, 3 years for most non-serious felonies, and 6 years for more serious or violent offenses. You must also have no new pending charges. Some convictions, like certain sex crimes, may not be eligible. We review each case individually to confirm your eligibility.
It starts with our intake form. Just fill out the short questionnaire and upload your court documents, ID, and any other relevant paperwork. From there, we’ll handle the rest—including drafting, filing, and representing you in court if needed.
